Comprehensive Distribution Network
With distribution centres in Auckland, Hamilton, and Christchurch, we stock and supply New Zealand’s widest range of aluminium sheet, plate, treadplate, and extruded profiles. We also offer custom-designed and made-to-order extrusions to meet the unique requirements of our customers.
We import and supply the country’s largest range of 6061 extrusion and plate, supporting New Zealand’s extensive component and machining market. Combined with our wide range of specialty extruded products, we provide complete aluminium solutions for industries such as:

Using low-carbon aluminium that is born here
100% of our extruded aluminium is sourced from the New Zealand Aluminium Smelter (NZAS), located on the Tiwai Peninsula in Southland, where some of the world’s greenest aluminium is produced.
NZAS produces a wide range of value-added products, including high-purity ingots, foundry alloys, and specialty billets made from low-carbon aluminium. As one of only two smelters in the world producing ultra-high-purity aluminium, NZAS is unique in using hydroelectric power from the Manapouri Hydro Station, ensuring a sustainable manufacturing process with a minimal environmental footprint.
For more than 50 years the Manapouri Hydro Station has been generating electricity 200m underground in Fiordland National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site. All of its 600+ megawatts of clean energy feeds directly into New Zealand’s Aluminium Smelter at Tiwai Point which is why the carbon footprint of aluminium produced at Tiwai is about four times lower than the global industry average.

Altus® Industrial Aluminium is part of the wider Altus® NZ Ltd group, encompassing a rich history of providing market leading innovations and business systems for the construction and industrial sectors.
Altus® NZ Ltd launched in 2016 as a joint venture between NALCOTM and Fletcher Aluminium.
Our name - Altus® - stands for height and depth. We believe that by aiming high and digging deep for our customers, we can reach the very pinnacle of our industry.

Our rich history
Although the Altus® name is relatively new our heritage stretches back over fifty years in New Zealand. We pioneered the introduction of aluminium within the New Zealand window and door market and some of our brands are over seventy years old. You may recognise some of them: Bradnam’s®, Fisher® Windows, Nebulite®, Nulook®, Rylock® and Vistalite®
Today Altus® is a leading designer of aluminium window and door systems for both residential and commercial sectors through innovative and ground breaking research via its Altus® Window Systems business unit. And through the Altus® Industrial Aluminium business unit we offer an extensive range of aluminium products and tailored solutions for virtually any aluminium application.
